King Solomon had worked the people hard. When his son took over as king, the people asked for relief. Would he listen to his trusted, older advisers or his more immature peers? His decision divided the kingdom! Do we value our senior saints? Christians never retire but have important roles to play throughout their lives. Brother Kirk discusses this in his sermon regarding remembering and valuing our seniors.
The Value of Remembrance – Lord’s Day Sermons – Jan 12 2020 – John 21:1-14
As the gospel account of John nears it’s end, we have a scene that must have struck a sense of remembrance of the apostles. In Luke 5, we have a similar event at the beginning of the relationship with Jesus where the Peter, John, Andrew, and James are fishing, catching nothing, and after Jesus has them again cast their nets, they almost sink their boat with fish! Here in John 21, we have a similar scene at the end of Jesus’ time on earth. At other times after the resurrection, they had questioned whether it was Jesus. Not this time! In this sermon, brother Kirk uses these verses and 2 Peter 1 to reflect on the value of remembrance of knowledge of God and His Son.
He Must Rise Again… – Lord’s Day Sermons – Dec 22 2019 – John 20:9-10
In John 20:1-8, the disciples discover an empty tomb. Brother Kirk now focuses on the resurrection starting with John 20:9-10 in our march through the gospel account of John.
Will You Follow Where He Leads? – Lord’s Day Sermons – Sep 15 2019 – John 17:20-26
A popular hymn states, “Where He leads I’ll follow”. Do we indeed follow where our Lord leads? Brother Kirk asks this question in view of John 17:20-26 which is our topic in this sermon.

Our guest speaker, Shane Sweeten, discusses the parable of the sower found in Matthew 13:3-9 and suggests that as sowers of God’s word, we should focus on what is sown rather than ourselves.
