Questions are okay.
People have questions about God, salvation, worship, the church, suffering, life, and what happens after death. Asking questions isn’t something we should be afraid of.

Can we really understand it?
God is all around us in His creation, but He shared His word as His special revelation to His creation. It has all the answers we need for where we came from, what is sin, and why we need salvation. Notice we did not say it has all the answers we WANT to know. It does have the answers that we NEED to know. This is important. The Bible itself says “The secret things belong to the Lord our God” (Deuteronomy 29:29). That implies that not every Bible question is easy, but Scripture was given to be read, studied, and handled rightly (2 Timothy 2:15). The Bereans in Acts 17:11 were a perfect example of this. They gladly received the word BUT they searched the scripture daily to see if what was said was true.
Where do we look for answers?
The answers can be found in that special revelation, the Bible. Here we have a saying: “Not what does Central say? but what does the Bible say?” Further, we say when asked, “Let’s see what the Bible says about it.” The Bible is our standard. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” That means it comes from God foremost and it useful for teaching, proving, correcting, and training so that the person of God may be complete and ready to take on good works.
