A bio sketch follows:
Brother Tooley graduated from the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin in 1998 with a diploma in Biblical Studies, under sound doctrinal instructors including John Moore, Carl Garner, Tim Ayers, Al Macias, and Rick Brumback.
In February 2003, with the support of a few dedicated Christians, Central church of Christ began meeting together in Pflugerville, a bedroom community of Austin with a population of about 25,000. There was no congregation located in Pflugerville and we saw a need and a great opportunity to evangelize in the area. Brother Tooley serves as the pulpit gospel preacher.
While attending Southwest School of Bible Studies, he assisted in teaching, song leading and working with youth activities at the University Hills church of Christ in Austin under the direction of the elders and Brother Frank Dunn, deceased. Following graduation, he served as associate preacher at University Hills for five years.
At University Hills he was editor and instructor of The Austin School of Religion, a work under the direction of the elders of University Hills. Other annual programs included planning and preparing lesson plans for church youth camps, Teen Lectures, vacation Bible school, Austin School of Religion Lectureship, and a weekly TV program.
Brother Tooley serves as co-editor of Truth for Teens, a free monthly magazine for teens, under the oversight of Central church of Christ at Pflugerville. Truth for Teens has been in publication since February 2002 and has a circulation of 500.
Brother Tooley was born in 1963 and married Lori Kasey in 1986. They are parents of three children, Courtney, a college student; Kasey and Brandon, high school students. He attended the University of Texas at Austin for two years before entering the Southwest School of Bible Studies. He also has acquired over 100 other college credit hours from the university and other Junior and community colleges. They have lived in Pflugerville for eighteen years.
